WeldIQ — AI-Powered Welding Parameter Advisor

1. Introduction

WeldIQ ("the App") is developed and maintained by WeldMind ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal information. Specifically:

• No account or registration is required to use the App
• No personal identifiers (name, email, phone number) are collected
• No location data is collected
• No usage analytics or tracking is implemented
• No advertising SDKs or third-party trackers are included
• No data is transmitted to any server or cloud service

3. On-Device Data

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Welding analysis history: Your saved analyses (material, thickness, joint type, recommended parameters) are stored in a local database on your device
• App preferences: Settings such as unit system (metric/imperial) and theme preference are stored locally
• Captured images: If you use the image capture feature, photos are processed on-device for joint type detection and are not uploaded or transmitted anywhere

All on-device data can be cleared at any time from the App's Settings screen using "Clear All History", or by uninstalling the App.

4. AI / Machine Learning

WeldIQ includes an on-device machine learning model for automatic joint type detection from photos. This model:

• Runs entirely on your device using TensorFlow Lite
• Does not send images or inference results to any external server
• Does not learn from or retain your images after classification
• Can be bypassed entirely by selecting the joint type manually

5. Camera and Photo Access

The App may request permission to access your device camera or photo gallery. This access is used solely to capture or select images of weld joints for on-device AI classification. Photos are:

• Processed locally on your device
• Never uploaded, shared, or transmitted
• Not stored permanently by the App (only temporarily during the analysis session)

6. Third-Party Services

WeldIQ does not integrate with any third-party services, analytics platforms, advertising networks, or cloud APIs. The App functions entirely offline.

7. Data Security

Since all data remains on your device and no data is transmitted over the internet, the security of your data is governed by your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption, etc.). We recommend keeping your device software up to date.

8. Children's Privacy

WeldIQ is a professional tool intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. The App does not collect information from any user regardless of age.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and will be made available within the App or on our distribution page. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
